HANOVER, Md., Dec. 4, 2018 – Allegis Group, the global leader in talent solutions, announced today that seven leaders across its enterprise were named to the Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list, presented by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA). Each woman was honored for playing a crucial role in elevating the $461 billion global staffing industry and delivering on our shared promise of connecting great people to great opportunities. Making the list were Helen Ahlstedt, Allegis Group APAC; Adele Alvarez, Allegis Global Solutions; Tanya Axenson, Aerotek and Allegis Group; Dana Baughns, Aerotek; Stacey Jenkins, Aerotek; Rachel Russell, Allegis Group; and Sarah Wong, Allegis Global Solutions.
“I am thrilled to see this group of talented leaders receive recognition on such a global platform,” said Allegis Group President Andy Hilger. “SIA’s Global Power 150 draws fitting attention to their strategic efforts to navigate change, solve workforce challenges, advance business success and leave a legacy. They are delivering on today’s promise and empowering the inclusive leaders of tomorrow.”
Below are some of the achievements that earned each leader her place on SIA’s Global Power 150 list as an influential contributor to the talent solutions ecosystem.
Based in Hong Kong, Helen Ahlstedt is the chief financial officer for Allegis Group APAC. Ahlstedt moved to the Asia-Pacific region in December 2016 after working to support revenue growth at Allegis Group’s European locations for three years. She was appointed as APAC regional CFO in July 2017. At Allegis Group, she is focused on finding the right balance between regional, centralized headquarters support and empowered, decentralized local operations. Ahlstedt’s work has resulted in 5 million Australian dollars in savings across the APAC region. Her goal is to support growth in the region and build on the value-added services its corporate function provides.
Executive Director Adele Alvarez manages Allegis Global Solutions’ (AGS) diverse portfolio of accounts totaling more than $700 million in spend. With more than 22 years of experience with Allegis Group, Alvarez has been recognized by The Diversity Journal, Women Worth Watching and Top 100 Women in Leadership in the Bay Area for her commitment to her customers, driving strategic initiatives, and her passion for developing others and promoting leaders. During her tenure, she has been dedicated to developing and supporting an inclusive culture as a founding member of AGS’ Diversity & Advocacy Group, Women’s Leadership Council and the All4 Diversity initiative.
Tanya Axenson is vice president, human resources (HR) for Aerotek, and she also serves as global head of HR for Allegis Group. In these roles, Axenson oversees all aspects of global human resources while spearheading the development of the company’s human resources strategy and its strategic direction for human capital initiatives. Her leadership philosophy focuses on the importance of inclusion, engagement and a commitment to helping individuals realize their professional and personal goals – all of which are deeply embedded in the Aerotek culture. Before her HR career, Axenson practiced labor and employment law and earned her juris doctor degree from Harvard Law School.
Dana Baughns serves as general counsel and secretary at Aerotek. Baughns has extensive complex litigation experience, and she provides counsel to clients on a variety of labor laws, government contracting obligations, enterprise risk mitigation and more. She is an effective business partner with a proven track record of developing solutions that successfully balance business goals, client objectives and legal compliance.
As vice president of strategic delivery solutions, Stacey Jenkins has established Aerotek as a disruptive force in the workforce solutions industry, responsible for supporting the organization’s most complex customers by providing unique delivery models to meet client business objectives. Jenkins’ delivery and recruitment teams manage the implementation and staffing of over $1 billion in revenue, exceeding growth goals each year. With more than 20 years serving Aerotek in both financial and operational leadership roles, Jenkins epitomizes Aerotek’s culture and plays an integral role in helping to evolve the organization’s business.
Rachel Russell is executive director of corporate strategy at Allegis Group. As a driver of strategic growth across a $12.3 billion network of global talent solutions companies, Russell’s current focus is the digital transformation of the customer experience, aligning with Allegis Group’s product development, innovation lab, and enterprise data and analytics teams. She successfully established Allegis Group’s global brand, research and thought leadership programs, and an analytics product suite spanning data science, product performance insights and customer journey analytics. Russell also played pivotal roles in establishing the company’s partnerships with digital innovators to empower sales, recruiting and customer success.
Sarah Wong oversees recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) efforts for Allegis Global Solutions as its vice president of the Asia-Pacific region, a role she assumed in September. Wong has more than 30 years of experience managing and developing recruitment solutions and 18 years of experience in RPO. She has led operations on many RPO accounts for organizations such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and HSBC. Wong began her career with AGS eight years ago as an executive director in Asia. She is based in Hong Kong.
“Leadership is how we serve, how we help others realize their full potential and how we impact those around us,” added Hilger. “I commend each woman on this list, as well as the thousands of others working across Allegis Group companies around the world, who work hard every day to serve our customers and drive the ongoing evolution and transformation of our business. They create untold opportunity for those around them and those who will come next. I am inspired by our dedicated team and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this dynamic company and its bold leaders.”
