Last year, Allegis Group employees in India dedicated 1,900 hours of their time and skills volunteering through various programs and self-identified efforts to provide global talent, staffing, and services solutions. Their impassioned dedication not only supports our company’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) but also earned a featured placement in the National Association of Software and Service Companies’ (NASSCOM) report on CSR best practices across India’s IT industry.

Titled “Catalysing Change: CSR Trends of 2015-16, Study of CSR Programmes in Education, Tech4Good & Volunteering,” the report highlights various aspects of how the Allegis Group team in India earned such recognition. Initiatives included holding monthly workshops consisting of mentoring and development sessions for job seekers with disabilities and underprivileged youth. These workshops, which were held in cities including Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, helped attendees build soft skills, such as interview coaching, resume building, and communication assessment training to improve employability and assist emerging professionals with building their careers.

“Coming from a national body like NASSCOM and being featured amongst some of the biggest brands in the world is a huge acknowledgement and endorsement of our CSR efforts in India,” said CSR Specialist Srilakshmi Subramanyan of Allegis Group. “We are prouder still to be the only global talent solutions provider to ever be featured in the report.”

Subramanyan adds that the team in India looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact on their local communities and furthering their CSR efforts in 2017.

NASSCOM Foundation is a leading non-profit organization driving technology for good. The Foundation’s work is just as expansive and evolutionary as the potential that technology and corporate India entail. Drawing strength from its parent body NASSCOM, a non-profit national trade body of the Indian IT and BPO, the Foundation works with stakeholders to foster a strategic relationship between technology and development.

Congratulations to our Allegis Group team for their activism and dedication.
