Job Summary

Job Summary:
This role will support the Senior Tax Manager and other tax team members with various tax matters for U.S. multi-national companies including sales tax, GST/VAT, nonresident income tax withholding, income tax, tax audits, and other special projects. This position offers a truly unique opportunity to broaden and deepen domestic and foreign tax knowledge by working with a global tax team for large U.S. multi-national companies.
Essential Functions:

* Develop a deep understanding of the businesses to effectively communicate and identify tax consequences
* Complete special projects
* Manage project deadlines and deliverables
* Research sales & use tax consequences for new and existing business lines, and new jurisdictions. Educate OPCOs and implement sales & use tax processes and procedures
* Respond to and assist OPCOs with Customer sales tax inquires
* Research US, Canada, and Puerto Rico indirect tax technical issues
* Review nonresident withholding tax certificates (W-8), compile annual data, remit withholding and prepare tax forms (1042s, etc.)
* Respond to notices and inquires
* Assist with tax audits
* Assist with income tax matters, as needed
* Prepare various tax returns
* Reconcile and review general ledger accounts, as needed
* Compile and analyze data
* Perform other duties, as assigned

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax
* 4 - 6 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax department
* CPA is a plus
* Public accounting experience is a plus

* Strong analytical skills, and excellent written & verbal communication skills

* Positive attitude and self-motivated
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
o Excel (e.g. manipulating data through vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
* Experience with on-line tax research tools is a plus (RIA, BNA)
